Biography
Gabriel Spera is the author of the poetry collection Twisted Pairs, runner-up for the 2022 Able Muse Book Award. He has published two previous collections of poetry. His first, The Standing Wave, was published by Harper Collins (New York) as part of the 2002 National Poetry Series. The book also received the 2004 Literary Book Award for Poetry from PEN USA-West. His second, The Rigid Body, was awarded the 2011 Richard Snyder prize from Ashland Poetry Press. Honors include fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the City of Los Angeles. He lives in Los Angeles.

News and Updates
I'm delighted to participate in the "Language of the Cosmos" collaboration between the LA Dept. of Cultural Affairs and JPL. This is mostly an event for performing artists, so I'm especially honored that they found a way to incorporate some of my written poetry (which draws upon my past career in the aerospace industry.
Pleased to announced that Twisted Pairs was awarded the Silver Medal in the Foreword INDIES Book of the Year Awards (details here).
Looking forward to a productive stay at Yaddo in October. It's been a long time since I've experienced the glory of Autumn in upstate New York.
